Taylor Eigsti is a New York based pianist and composer. In 2006, he received two GRAMMY nominations for Best Jazz Solo and Best Instrumental Composition after releasing “Lucky to Be Me” (Concord Jazz). Regarded by many as a child prodigy, Taylor began studying piano at the age of four, and by age eight he was performing with internationally renowned jazz artists. At age 15 he joined the teaching staff at the Stanford Jazz Workshop at Stanford University. In this informal dialog with Neil Moore, Taylor talks about his earliest experiences of learning music, as well as his thoughts on the future of music education.
