Your full name: Stacie Lynn Davison
When did you start and what is your role with Simply Music? I started working at Simply Music on March 6, 2006. I am the Teacher Services Manager.
What are your top 5 albums of all time? Eagles – Hotel California, Jewel – Pieces of You, Incubus – Make Yourself, Dave Matthews Band – Before These Crowded Streets, Michael Jackson – Thriller
Who is your favorite band or singer? Incubus (Brandon Boyd, lead singer) <3
Who are you listening to now? I’ve been into AWOLNation lately and also Hall & Oates (I recently saw them in concert).
If you were in a rock ‘n’ roll band, what would your job be? I would be the bass player, but if I could pick something behind the scenes, I would be a costume designer because I don’t like to be in the spotlight and I love putting costumes together.
What song/music style reminds you of your childhood? 80s music – Michael Jackson, John Fogerty – Centerfield album, Huey Lewis & the News, George Michael, Janet Jackson, Paula Abdul, Queen, Milli Vanilli
What movie can you quote word for word? Princess Bride
What is the worst song to get stuck in your head? I get songs stuck in my head frequently and very easily. I don’t even want to think about the worst song because it will get stuck in my head again… lalalalalala, not thinking about it!
What song do you sing in the shower? I rarely sing in the shower, but when I do it’s usually a patriotic song, I don’t know why.
What song/style do you love to dance to? 80s pop
What was the first concert you went to see? Color Me Badd at the Ventura Fairgrounds
What is your favorite day of the week? Saturday
What’s your strangest talent? I dunno… I’m good at matching colors without having the color/object in front of me.
What is the single best decision you have made in your life so far? When I was living in San Diego, I recognized that I was completely unhappy in all aspects of my life there. Even though it was scary, I decided to move to Sacramento (by myself) for a change of scenery and to go back to school for my graduate degree. It was challenging to be on my own, but not long after I moved, I got all of the things I felt I was missing while in San Diego.
What was the last experience that made you a stronger person?
I recently started a side business as a skincare consultant with Rodan + Fields. I am a shy person and it has been a great challenge for me to put myself out there, talk to people (eek!), learn how to navigate running a business and get comfortable with failure and rejection, as well as success! Shameless plug: if you want more info., please connect with me on Facebook and my business website is https://stacied.myrandf.com.
What is the best dish you can cook? Chicken Noodle Soup
Are you a morning or night person? Late morning
