The great blues players spend most of their time working with riffs, little musical sentences you can throw in over the top of standard chord progressions. Our very own blues maestro Scott Jones has plenty of riffs up his sleeve, and in this video presentation he shows you some cool ones you can play over the left hand of our early level Simply Music blues songs, or over your own basic blues accompaniment in C.
In particular Scott has woven his riffs into our Foundation 2 song Light Blue, which means if you know that song you can learn whatever of Scott’s riffs you’re comfortable with and just keep playing the regular Light Blue for the rest of the song.
