| About | Welcome! I would love to talk with you about Simply Music, and answer any questions you may have. I have a B.A. in Music Education from UCLA, a B.A. in Music Therapy from CSUN, an M.A. in Educational Psychology in Early Childhood from CSUN, and an M.A. in Music Therapy from New York University. I am a Board Certified Music Therapist & Nordoff Robbins Music Therapist. I have worked with children for 30 years, in classroom and clinical settings. I am also the mom of 2 daughters, ages 20 and 17. I teach 44 weeks out of the year:1 week off at Thanksgiving 2 weeks off at Winter Break2 weeks off at Spring Break3 weeks off during Summer Break. Students pay a flat monthly rate, which is the annual fee evenly divided by 12: Individual lessons are $210/mo. and group lessons are $136/mo. I would not be teaching piano had I not found Simply Music. It is developmentally appropriate, play-based and geared toward success and feeling good about oneself. As a teacher, I have been trained in the paradigm of nonviolence, and it is important to me that students’ experience of playing and learning piano is non-pressuring, with the goal of connection with oneself and others.
