| About | I am originally from France and have been living in Australia since 2009. I am located in Perth Western Australia North of the River, post code 6030 and also offer mobile tuitions (from Hillarys to Yanchep) to suit different family needs. In France I played piano and viola in two Orchestras: Collegium Musicum and ProMusica. I also taught music in a music school for many years. I now teach piano from home and am looking forward to many years of Simply Music piano with you! Madeleine Feedback from my clients: My, 11-year-old son, commenced Simply Music Piano lessons with Madeleine 3 years ago, more recently my 8-year-old daughter also started. The Simply Music program is very rewarding for my children as in a very short period of time they learn to play short pieces of music with 2 hands and can quickly progress to playing competently. This makes learning and practicing an enjoyable experience for all. The program incorporates skills like tuning their ear, singing along and accompaniment and teaches a variety of musical styles which has increased their musicality and enjoyment of music in general. My children learn quickly with Madeleine as their teacher. She explains things in a simple way, employing the method of “I do” -demonstrating how to play the piece; “We do” play – playing alongside the child; “You do” – allowing them to master it independently. She is gentle in her approach but encourages them to do their best. She can quickly work out the strengths of each child and help them develop these areas. Madeleine adapts her teaching techniques and provides successful strategies to assist them when they are struggling. She is patient, generous with her time; flexible and willing to make up missed lessons with-in reason. Megan |
