| About | Joanne began piano lessons at age 12 using the traditional, reading based approach. As a mature student she studied at the QLD Conservatorium Mackay Campus completing an Associate Diploma of Music, graduating with Highest Prize in Keyboard and Musicianship. After teaching the reading based “traditional” piano method Joanne became disheartened that this approach did not work for many students. Joanne heard about the Simply Music playing based method via some colleagues and in 2011 completed the training and transitioned her students to this innovative way of learning. Joanne now enjoys teaching students of all ages who love playing music immediately without having to “read” first and can play all different styles including ballads, blues, classical and accompaniment. Joanne teaches in Capalaba QLD and at Tweed Heads South NSW. |
